Leonard Roberts' (born in 1972) most notable role was as Forrest Gates in the forth season of Buffy the Vampire Slayer. He has appeared in many other television shows, including Due South, Masquerade, JAG, Providence, 24, CSI: Miami, Bones, and Smallville. He has also appeared in several feature films, including Love Jones, Hoodlum, He Got Game and Drumline. Leonard graduated from DePaul University Theater School with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in acting.

D.L. Hawkins

Leonard Roberts currently plays the role of D.L. Hawkins on Heroes. D.L. is the husband of Niki Saunders and the father of Micah Saunders. D.L. first appeared in the fifth episode of Heroes when it was revealed that he possessed the ability to walk through solid matter and had escaped from prison, where he had been incarcerated for allegedly being part of a gang that stole $2 million and killed a security guard. Later, once he had reunited with his family, D.L. discovered that it was his wife Niki (who's personality had been overtaken by Jessica) that had stolen the money and killed the guard, thereby framing him for the crimes. After fighting with Niki, D.L. grabbed his son, Micah and the $2 million and ran. While on the run with his son, D.L. attempted to save a woman from a burning car using his abilities and came across Hiro Nakamura, who assisted in saving both D.L. and the woman. Micah told his father that he suspected his mother was suffering from a multiple personality disorder, although he was not aware of the specifics.

Niki (who's personality had been overtaken by Jessica) found her husband and son and later decided to turn herself into the police when she realized that Jessica was too dangerous to be around her family. Once Niki/Jessica is released from prison and returns home, both D.L. and Micah are unaware that Jessica is the dominant personality for the majority of the time and D.L. is not aware that she has been hired as an assassin by Linderman. However, recently D.L. has become slightly suspicious of his wife due to some clues left behind by Niki when she is able to become the dominant personality for short periods of time.
