Ali Larter (born in 1976) began her career as a model at the age of 13. At the age of 17 she began taking acting lessons and her first television role was on Chicago Sons. She later appeared on Dawson's Creek, Chicago Hope and Just Shoot Me! In 1999, Ali began appearing in films such as Varsity Blues, House on Haunted Hill, Legally Blonde and Final Destination. Ali currently lives in New York City and will soon star opposite Milla Jovovich in Resident Evil 3: Extinction, to be released in 2007.

Niki Sanders

Ali Larter currently plays the roles of Niki Sanders and her alter ego, Jessica Sanders, on Heroes. Niki is the wife of D.L. Hawkins and the mother of Micah Sanders. As a child, Niki's father abused both her and her sister, Jessica. During one abusive session Mr. Sanders choked Jessica to death and abandoned Niki. After meeting with her father again as an adult, Niki's personality was overtaken by Jessica, with either Niki or Jessica taking over the personality for a time. Working as an internet stripper in Las Vegas to pay the bills and raise her son while her husband was incarcerated, Niki discovered she possessed an unusual ability when two men sent to collect on her debt to Mr. Linderman ended up dead, apparently by her own hand.

Following the murders, during stressful times Niki would witness her reflection moving differently from herself and eventually concluded that she had an alter ego, her sister, Jessica, who possessed superhuman strength. Niki was reunited with her husband, D.L., when he escaped from prison and they both discovered that it was Jessica who had set him up and caused him to be incarcerated. D.L. ran off with their son and Jessica resurfaced and gave chase. After a family confrontation, Niki realized that Jessica was stronger than she was and admitted to murder, thereby getting herself locked up solitary confinement and being treated by psychiatrists who were convinced that she is suffering from multiple personality disorder.

Niki/Jessica was eventually released from prison after Linderman intervenes and is reunited with her family, only to discover that she was released in order to perform assassinations for Linderman and that Jessica is in control for the majority of time. Niki has managed to regain control a few times while Jessica was sent to murder several people, including warning Nathan Petrelli (whom she once had an affair with) that Linderman knew of his betrayal.
