Episode Outline

There are two kinds of people in this world, ones who think like you do and ones who don't. In this episode entitled "One of Us, One of Them" the Heroes and the people without abilities come together. "In the ongoing search for self, there are days when we find out something genuinely new. Something uncovered, hidden, that we never knew was there, something that surprises us." In the beginning of this episode Sylar finds out that Angela is his biological mother and that she gave him up for adoption. She knows now that she can't make the same mistakes because she wants to set things right. In order to do so she brings in a girl named Bridget with the ability to tell the history of an object.

Angela tells Sylar that she is there to feed him, she wants him to take her ability which he does. Tracy is seen sitting in a room at a table with a single rose in a vase, she is trying to see how far her ability is able to manifest. She freezes the singular rose and a couple of petals fall to the table, a process she has repeated many times before.

The Future Peter teleports into Nathan's senate office and asks where Peter went. Nathan has Peter listen to a message that Present Peter left him in the body of Jesse. The Present Peter is fearful that the men that escaped Level 5 will hurt lots of people and he might prove to be right. Present Peter is with three of the Level 5 escapees: Knox, Flint and The German. All of them walk up to a bank with the intention of robbing it, Peter in the body of Jesse tells Knox that he thinks this is a bad idea; but that isn't the plan. The plan is for the men to cause a scene big enough to attract the attention of Primatech, when that happens Noah is sure to come running and they want a shot at killing the man who locked them away.

Noah has other plans though; he wants to join Primatech again for a short period of time, just until all of the Level 5 escapees are back in their cells. His first assignment is to bring back the men at the bank robbery. Noah uses the title and catchphrase for Primatech "One of Us, One of Them". In this case however Noah isn't exactly pleased about Angela's pick, Sylar, because Noah only sees him as the man that hurt his daughter, not as the strong and powerful evolved human that he is.

Back at the bank The German opens the safe and pulls a gun on Knox telling him that he is going to take his share of the money and leave. Knox doesn't want that to happen and with the fear of everyone in the room powering him up Knox kills The German. Peter in the body of Jesse tells the men to stop and Knox relents. Noah and Sylar prepare for the fight ahead by warning all of the police officers that have already taken protection in front of the bank to back up. Noah originally wants to do all of the heavy lifting and leave Sylar there to be killed by the escapees.

Sylar proves to be more useful than Noah thinks and goes into the bank alone to feed the obsession of Knox. While inside the bank Peter in the body of Jesse finds out Jesse's ability and uses it to subdue Knox and Flint. The Future Peter freezes time and separates the two bodies and tells Peter that he needs to show him what the world will become. Sylar walks in to help Noah get the men back to Level 5 but he has a different plan, Sylar decides to take Jesse's power after Noah leaves the building.

Matt begins the first part of his spirit walk in this episode. Usutu, the aboriginal painter, tells him that he knew Matt would come to him one day. When he was a child Usutu painted the future and key events that happened in Matt Parkman's life, finding Molly Walker in the cupboard in her home, getting tossed from the roof of a building by Niki Sanders and other things in the future that haven't happened yet. Usutu takes Matt to his hut and tells him that in order to begin the second part of his walk he will need to eat a strange paste and wear his headphones then he will see what the future holds.

Claire begins the first part of her rise to a stronger person. She asks Meredith to help her learn how to fight and she says that she will help. She tells her adopted mom that she is going to school, while outside Meredith tells her that they are going to play hooky for the day. Meredith takes her to a cargo box in an undisclosed location; she locks both of them in and tells her that the first thing that she is going to teach her is how to defend herself.

Meredith uses her pyrokinesis to make the air in the box thinner and thinner, using the torture method of water boarding where the victim feels like they are drowning without being underwater. Meredith eventually gets it out of Claire that the reason that she wants to capture all of the Level 5 escapees is to make them pay for what Sylar did to her. Meredith takes her back to her home and apologizes for putting Claire into a position like that only a few days after her incident with Sylar. While back home Claire goes off in her car with some old files from her father and a tazer.

Hiro and Ando put their plan into action for getting back their half of the formula. Hiro follows Daphne to a theater in Germany where she will be stealing the other half of the formula. The Haitian is at the same theater and is Daphne's intended target. The Haitian negates the powers of Hiro and Daphne so that nothing happens during the exchange of the formula to better hands. Daphne however sneaks underneath the Haitian's watch and steals it for someone. Hiro is captured by the Haitian and put into a level 2 cell in Primatech with Ando.

Nathan goes to meet Tracy and talk about his appointment to the Senate and she instead wants to talk about Niki. She shows him a video of Nathan and Niki at the Corinthian Hotel in Las Vegas and wants to know who she is. Tracy decides that she needs to go to New Orleans and find out anything she can about her.

In New Orleans Tracy goes to the address she was given and finds it was the day of Niki's funeral. She sees Micah and he also accidentally mistakes her for Niki. Micah decides that to show Tracy his power and he is able to lead her to Doctor Zimmerman in California. Once in California she finds Dr. Zimmerman's house and when she knocks on his door he recognizes her instantly. She asks if he knows her and he says "Know you...I created you."
